Two Complete Lessons Included! Each Lesson: PowerPoint, Student Notes, Homework, Check for Understanding, Quiz, and Complete Teacher Notes. Two lessons included in this product! Choose the one right for your students.

One is labeled Standard, and teaches students to balance equations using a “counting/tally” method. This lesson is appropriate for a standard/lower level chemistry class, physical science class, and possibly a middle school class.

The other lesson is labeled Honors, and teaches students to balance equations using a “By Inspection” method. This lesson is appropriate for honors chemistry and higher, and possibly some standard chemistry depending on the level of your students.

I think older, more advanced students should be able to balance equations by sight, and certainly honors students that are going to be science majors should know this approach before going to college. I teach a seven-step balancing method to make balancing equations by sight quick and easy to follow!

Each lesson comes with editable and print files - and DIGITAL (Google Slides™).

Choose the lesson that is appropriate for your students, or if you’re like me and have multiple preps, use both!
