Differentiated for honors and standard classes
Using the density formula, students will calculate density, mass, and volume. There are also problems that require students to calculate volume first for a regularly shaped object and an irregularly shaped object. These homework pages are great for homework, class practice, partner work, or even a quiz.

Two versions of this homework:
Honors version: (2 pages) Honors students will solve more complex questions in which they will manipulate units and/or do calculations involving scientific notation. 10 problems.
Standard version: (1 page) The standard version does not include as vigorous questions as the honors version. The problems are a less complex. 10 problems.

A complete KEY is included.

Objectives:
Using the density formula, calculate density, mass, and volume
Calculate volume of a regularly shaped object and an irregularly shaped object.
Convert units such as g to kg, and cm3 to m3 (honors)

Prior Knowledge:
A strong understanding of using the density formula
A basic understanding of converting metric units (honors only)

This homework is appropriate for grades 9-12 chemistry, or physical science, and possibly upper middle school
