Puzzles are great when used to reinforce content! Puzzles result in an application of learning which helps cement learning. After your Introduction to Chemistry lessons, have students use this Domino Puzzle as a reinforcement tool.
Puzzles can also be used as a unit review, or a review prior to end of course testing (state or final exam), used as a class activity—see who finishes first, or even sent home as an individual review, and puzzles can be used as a station during a lab/class activity.
This puzzle is a great review of terminology and classification found in the first unit of the year, Introduction to Chemistry.
The Teacher Notes give several ways to incorporate the puzzle into your lesson plans, tips for using the puzzle, and a KEY. You will also have a choice of color or black and white dominos. Just laminate, use, store, and you’ll have an activity that you’ll want to use year after year.
