Types of Chemical Reactions Color-By-Number! Add art and creativity to your review lesson! One of these is not like the other! Students will identify the reaction that does not match the other three reactions, balance the three matching reactions, identify the type of reaction, and color their masterpieces according to the color beside the odd reaction. For early finishers, I let students “make it their own” by adding a background.

This is a great review assignment that will have students reviewing balancing chemical equations, and identifying reaction type in one assignment.

The five types of chemical reactions are represented in this assignment: synthesis, decomposition, single replacement, double replacement, and combustion.
